Job description
Vetwork is supporting a major aviation training and maintenance programme in the UAE and is seeking an experienced Instructor – Airframe & Powerplant (AS550) to deliver technical instruction within a rotary-wing aviation environment.
This role is suited to experienced aviation maintenance professionals with strong instructional ability and proven hands-on experience supporting AS550 aircraft maintenance operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering structured technical training, supporting maintenance capability development, and ensuring personnel are trained to recognised operational and technical standards.
Key responsibilities include delivering classroom and practical instruction relating to aircraft airframe and powerplant systems, developing and adapting technical training materials, supporting trainee development and assessments, providing technical guidance and mentoring to maintenance personnel, and ensuring training delivery aligns with approved maintenance procedures and operational requirements.
Applicants should have a minimum of 3 years’ experience delivering technical maintenance instruction within an aircraft, engine, or aviation maintenance environment, ideally within military or operational aviation organisations.
Candidates must hold either an A&P or B1 licence. A degree in Aircraft Maintenance Technology or a related field is preferred.
Instructional techniques or Train-the-Trainer qualifications, including certifications recognised by civilian or military aviation authorities, are highly desirable.
Previous hands-on maintenance experience on the AS550 platform is essential.
