VETWORK is supporting a confidential global cybersecurity and digital infrastructure business with the appointment of a senior General Manager / Country Manager for the Middle East region.
This is a high-impact commercial leadership role for an experienced regional leader with deep knowledge of the cybersecurity, IT distribution, vendor and reseller ecosystem. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving country-level growth, strengthening vendor and partner relationships, leading commercial performance, and building a high-performing team across the region.
This is not a volume sales role. It is a strategic leadership appointment for someone who can combine strong commercial discipline with genuine regional market credibility.
The Opportunity
The role will suit a commercially driven leader who has operated at country, regional or senior channel leadership level within cybersecurity, IT distribution, value-added distribution, enterprise technology or a closely related sector.
The successful candidate will take ownership of revenue growth, margin improvement, partner strategy, forecasting, operational rhythm and team performance. They will also act as a senior representative of the business with vendors, partners, customers and key stakeholders across the region.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a major international organisation with a strong global footprint and a highly respected position within the cybersecurity ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
Leading the commercial strategy for the UAE / Middle East market.
Owning revenue, margin, EBIT, forecasting and cash-flow performance.
Building and strengthening relationships with major cybersecurity vendors, channel partners, resellers, SIs and MSSPs.
Driving new partner growth, deal registration, upsell, cross-sell and services expansion.
Managing and developing a high-performing sales and commercial team.
Establishing a strong operating cadence around pipeline, forecasting, budgeting and performance reviews.
Representing the business externally with customers, vendors, partners and regional stakeholders.
Ensuring the business operates with strong governance, compliance and commercial discipline.
Working closely with regional and global teams to align local execution with wider group objectives.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone with:
Significant regional experience across the UAE and wider Middle East.
Proven leadership experience in cybersecurity, IT distribution, vendor sales, channel sales or enterprise technology.
Strong understanding of the reseller, SI, MSSP and vendor ecosystem.
Previous responsibility for revenue, margin, P&L, forecasting or commercial performance.
Experience managing sales teams and driving measurable growth.
A strong network across the regional cybersecurity and technology market.
Commercial credibility with senior stakeholders, partners and vendors.
A data-driven approach to performance, forecasting and decision-making.
Excellent communication skills and strong executive presence.
Highly Relevant Backgrounds
Candidates may come from:
Cybersecurity distribution or value-added distribution.
Major cybersecurity vendors.
IT channel, reseller or SI leadership.
Enterprise cybersecurity sales leadership.
Regional commercial leadership roles within technology businesses.
Experience or strong relationships across vendors such as Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks, F5, ServiceNow or similar would be highly advantageous.
Essential Profile
The strongest candidates will be able to demonstrate:
8–10+ years of relevant commercial leadership experience.
Clear evidence of growing revenue and improving margin.
Strong UAE / GCC market knowledge.
Experience working in a matrixed regional or global organisation.
The ability to lead both strategy and execution.
A track record of building trusted relationships across vendors, partners and customers.
Important Note
Due to the confidential nature of this appointment, the client name and full role details will only be shared following an initial discussion.
This is a senior leadership opportunity and we are prioritising quality over quantity. We are particularly interested in speaking with candidates who have genuine regional market influence, strong commercial discipline and an established cybersecurity or IT channel network.
