Freelance Cybersecurity Instructor
Location: UAE, various locations
Programme Duration: November 2026 to May 2027
Engagement Type: Freelance / Contract
Rate: To be confirmed
Language: English required. Arabic-speaking instructors are particularly encouraged to apply.
Role Overview
VETWORK is seeking experienced Cybersecurity Instructors to support a high-profile training programme in the UAE.
The programme will be delivered to Emirati high-school graduates and is designed to provide an engaging, practical introduction to cybersecurity concepts, threats and defensive practices.
Successful instructors will be provided with structured course material and will be responsible for delivering it in a clear, engaging and accessible manner. While strong cybersecurity knowledge is important, we are particularly interested in candidates who can translate technical concepts into practical learning for younger adult students.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver instructor-led cybersecurity training using supplied programme materials.
Explain technical concepts clearly to learners with varying levels of prior knowledge.
Facilitate practical activities, discussions, case studies and scenario-based learning.
Support learner engagement, participation and understanding throughout the programme.
Provide examples of real-world cyber threats, vulnerabilities and defensive measures.
Adapt delivery style where required while maintaining programme learning objectives.
Provide constructive feedback and support learner development.
Maintain professional standards appropriate to a high-profile UAE government training environment.
Relevant Experience
We are interested in instructors with experience in one or more of the following areas:
Cybersecurity fundamentals
Information security
Cyber risk management
Network security
Security operations / SOC environments
Threat intelligence
Cyber incident response
Vulnerability management
Digital forensics
Cyber awareness and human-factor security
Critical infrastructure cybersecurity
Defence or government cyber operations
Information assurance and security governance
Emerging technologies and cyber threats
Candidate Requirements
Essential:
Credible professional experience within cybersecurity, information security or a closely related field.
Strong presentation, facilitation or instructional capability.
Ability to communicate technical subjects to non-technical audiences.
Confident classroom presence and excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively with young adult learners.
Professional and culturally aware approach to delivery in the UAE.
Availability for freelance delivery between November 2026 and May 2027.
Highly desirable:
Previous teaching, training, instructional or facilitation experience.
UAE or wider GCC experience.
Experience working with government, defence, critical infrastructure or national-security organisations.
Formal training or teaching qualifications.
Relevant cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISM, Security+, CEH, CySA+, GIAC or equivalent.
About the Programme
This requirement forms part of a wider UAE training programme covering areas including defence, security, emerging technology, human development, resilience and logistics.
The audience will primarily consist of Emirati high-school graduates, so instructors must be able to make technical material accessible, relevant and engaging rather than delivering at an unnecessarily advanced academic level.
How to Apply
Please apply via the VETWORK website with an up-to-date CV clearly demonstrating your cybersecurity experience and any relevant training or instructional background.
Arabic-speaking cybersecurity professionals with strong instructional capability are especially encouraged to apply.
