Freelance English–Arabic Interpreter Location: Across all 7 Emirates, UAE Contract Type: Freelance / Project-Based Languages: Arabic and English Requirement: Applicants must already be based in the UAE Role Overview We are seeking experienced English–Arabic Interpreters to support the delivery of a large-scale training programme taking place across the seven Emirates of the UAE. Interpreters will work alongside international instructors and subject matter experts, providing accurate and professional interpretation between English and Arabic during classroom-based training. This is a freelance role, with assignments allocated according to programme schedules, locations and individual availability. Key Responsibilities * Provide accurate English-to-Arabic and Arabic-to-English interpretation during live training sessions. * Interpret instructor presentations, classroom discussions, questions and learner interactions. * Ensure information is communicated clearly, accurately and naturally. * Maintain the meaning, tone and intent of the original speaker. * Work closely with instructors to familiarise yourself with course terminology ahead of delivery where required. * Support effective communication between English-speaking instructors and Arabic-speaking learners. * Maintain professionalism, confidentiality and cultural sensitivity at all times. Essential Requirements Applicants must: * Currently reside in the UAE. * Be professionally fluent in both **Arabic and English. * Have proven professional interpreting experience. * Be confident providing live interpretation in classroom, training, conference or professional environments. * Have excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills. * Be able to interpret accurately and confidently in real time. * Be reliable, professional and comfortable working with groups. * Be willing and able to undertake freelance assignments across the UAE. Experience A specialist background in defence, security, technology, logistics, education or other course subject areas is not required. However, applicants must have previous professional interpretation experience and be comfortable preparing for unfamiliar terminology and subject matter ahead of an assignment. Working Arrangement This is a freelance, project-based opportunity supporting training delivery across: * Abu Dhabi * Dubai * Sharjah * Ajman * Umm Al Quwain * Ras Al Khaimah * Fujairah Assignments may vary in duration and location depending on the training schedule.
